A Check-up is work an AI Contact repeats on a schedule: a morning digest, an inbox scan, a monitor that pings you when something changes. Ask for one in plain language, such as “post a support digest here every weekday at 9 AM Eastern.” Include:
  • What the AI Contact should do or watch for
  • Where it should read and post
  • The schedule and timezone
  • What the result should contain
The AI Contact builds the Check-up, tests it, and turns it on once the test succeeds. A Check-up created card in the conversation confirms what it does and when it runs.

How Check-ups run

AI Contacts pick the lightest approach that does the job:
  • A simple script for checks, digests, and notifications that don’t need judgment. These are cheap to run.
  • A script that decides whether something needs attention, and wakes the AI Contact only when it does.
  • A full AI run every time, for work that always needs reasoning, or for sites the AI Contact is signed into on its own computer.
Check-ups can run as often as every five minutes. A Check-up that fails five times in a row turns itself off. When a Check-up creates a PDF, spreadsheet, image, or other file, the file is attached to the AI Contact’s message.

Change, pause, or remove

Ask the same AI Contact to list, change, pause, resume, or remove its Check-ups. Updates show as Check-up updated and removals as Check-up removed. Check-ups are separate from an AI Contact’s proactive check-ins. Turning proactive check-ins off doesn’t stop its Check-ups.
