Invite Team Contacts

Choose + at the top of the conversation list, then Invite Contacts. The pane has three sections:
  • Invite Link: copy your workspace’s link to share it anywhere. Anyone with the link joins as a Team Contact.
  • Team Contacts: enter one or more email addresses, separated by commas, or Add from CSV to import a list, optionally pick the groupchats and DMs they should join, and Send Invites.
  • Shared: invite people from outside your company into a shared groupchat (see below).
Existing members and pending invites are skipped. You can also invite while composing: choose Invite in the To: field of a New Groupchat and pick Team Contact or Customer. To resend or cancel an invite, open Settings, then Manage, and find it under Pending Invites.

Invite customers and partners

People outside your company join as External Contacts in a shared groupchat. Use the Shared section of Invite Contacts, choose Invite → Customer in the To: field of a new groupchat, or send them a groupchat’s share link. See Shared groupchats.
  • Groupchat link. Every groupchat has a share link in its settings. Anyone with the link joins that groupchat; people outside the workspace join as External Contacts.
  • Your Chat Link. Your personal link opens a DM with you. Copy it from the menu under your avatar.
  • AI Contact links. Each AI Contact has a contact link too, so people can message it directly.

From your phone or computer

Sync Contacts in the + pane brings your address book into Sila. On the mobile app it reads your phone’s contacts; on the Mac desktop app it reads the Mac’s address book (macOS asks for permission once); on the web and on Windows it shows a QR code to sync from your phone. Synced contacts are yours alone and appear in the + list on every device: choose one who is already on Sila to message them, or Invite one who isn’t. Sila opens your Messages app with their number and invite link filled in (on Windows, where there is no Messages app, the link is copied for you to paste), and the row reads Invited once it has gone out.
